It has to be REAL coming from the place of expression. A lot of stuff is put out there that is not timeless, its all for the "NOW"... If you can't write YOUR own shit then why should I regard you as an artiste. when I listen to some song these days, its just a loop OVER AND OVER AGAIN!!! They all sound the same, putting the same beat on and as long as its bumping in the club then we straight... *Deep Sigh*!!!
There hasn't really been anyone who has brought anything to the table that I can call ORIGINAL. This new generation wants to be enlightened. There's so much going on in our society that can be expressed and addressed through music.
Saying ORIGINALITY is dead is now a fucking trend and I'm putting an end to that statement. Please artistes, BE DIFFERENT!... I can't live my life exposing myself to one kind of thing and you now why??? Yea I figured you would never know and here's the answer... There's SO MUCH OUT THERE!!! Soooo Fuckingggg Muchhhh out there from Electro to Pop, Afro, Rock, Hiphop, Fuji, R&B, Dubstep, Juju, House, Akpala, Reggae... its ENDLESS!!!
Have the courage to explore, create things that are thought provoking and visually appealing at the same time. That's what YOUR music should be. You have to be unconventional sometimes. Nowadays it's just a handful of people I can count doing REAL MUSIC and hopefully the wack ones will get past their wackiness... but then, I can only hope.
The Salty Truth shall be told by The Salty Blogger (ME) and egos will be bruised, toes will be stepped on. I do this for the betterment of the industry because its has to start somewhere, it has to start somehow and what better time than now, what better place than here... OUR GLOBAL VILLAGE!
